MILWAUKEE -- Retired NFL quarterback Brett Favre says its unfortunate the way things ended in Green Bay six years ago, but that hes proud of his 16 years with the Packers and has no regrets. Mens Nike Air Max Store . Favre, interviewed on WTMJ-AM on Friday, talked about his departure from Green Bay and recent efforts to soothe any sour feelings. The team has announced the three-time MVP quarterback will be inducted into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame and have his number retired during the 2015 season. Favre said he has no regrets about his football career. "And that goes from Day 1 to the end," he said. Fans know he played as hard as he could, Favre added. "I laid it on the field every time," he said. Favre retired at a tearful news conference in March 2008, only to change his mind and decide later that year that he still wanted to play, setting up an awkward showdown between him and the team he helped resurrect and lead to a Super Bowl title. He was traded to the New York Jets for what would end up being a third-round draft pick and after one year with the Jets, Favre retired a second time, only to join the rival Minnesota Vikings, for whom he played two seasons. In 2010, the Packers beat Favre and the Vikings twice on their way to a Super Bowl title, led by Favres successor, Aaron Rodgers. Favre retired for good following the 2010 season, while Rodgers went on to win the NFL MVP award in 2011. Favre said he has returned to Wisconsin since leaving Green Bay, coming back about two years ago to hunt with two friends in Clintonville, which is about 40 miles west of Green Bay. He said he hunted for eight days, and wasnt recognized when he visited a local laundry. Favre said he wont coach high school football near his home in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, this year in order to watch his youngest daughter play volleyball at the school. And he expects to return to Green Bay with his wife, Deanna, before next season. "I think you will see us more in Green Bay. The ice has been broken," Favre said. Clearance Womens Nike Air Max . The Nevada Athletic Commission voted unanimously in Las Vegas to quit granting therapeutic use exemptions for fighters undergoing the so-called TRT.WETASKIWIN, Alberta – Andrew Ranger has plenty of mastery on road-courses. The two-time champion of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 proved once again he can figure it out on an oval, too. He showed that Friday night as he picked up the win in the Alberta Has Energy 300 in the inaugural event at Edmonton International Raceway. Ranger tied the series all-time record with his 19th career win, and won back-to-back races for the first time since August 2009 following his victory on the road course at Circuit ICAR in Quebec last week. It was also his first oval win since 2009, and fourth overall. "At the beginning of the day we didnt have a really good car, so we improved lap after lap," Ranger said "During the race my car was really fantastic." The race was stretched to 316 laps around the quarter-mile bullring following a late caution that involved early race leader Alex Tagliani, and required Ranger, who took the lead on Lap 269, to hold off LP Dumoulin and Jason Hathaway on the final restart. "The pass with Alex [Tagliani] was a little bit tough because it was almost one [racing] line here," Ranger said. "He did a little mistake and I was able to take him in [Turn] 3." Dumoulin and Hathaway waged a battle throughout the last two laps of the race for second and Dumoulin came out ahead, followed by Hathaway, J.R. Fitzpatrick aand D. Nike Air Max Online. J. Kennington. Joey McColm, Larry Jackson, Scott Steckly, rookie Stefan Rzadzinski and Noel Dowler completed the top 10. Fitzpatrick, Kennington and Steckly were all two laps down at different points during the race and rallied back for top-10 finishes. Tagliani, who won the pole position for the race earlier in the day, finished 13th. He led a career-high 268 laps. Fitzpatrick and Dumoulin are now tied for the season points lead after four races at 162 apiece while Rangers back-to-back wins have bumped him up to third, 12 tallies behind the co-leaders. Dumoulin has finished top-five in all four races this year, two more than any other driver. "Thats our first podium on an oval, and the guys have been working really hard," Dumoulin said after finishing second. "We were within sight for the last run. I knew being in second was not a good spot for the restart at the end, obviously we had to fight for that spot, but we kept our head up and made it happen." Ranger now shares the Canadian Tire Series career wins record with Kennington. That accomplishment came one week after he tied Fitzpatrick for the series all-time poles mark at 14. The race was slowed by 11 cautions for 94 laps, including two red flags. The Alberta Has Energy 300 will air on TSN on Sunday, July 20 at 3pm et/Noon pt and on RDS2 on Saturday, July 26 at 3pm et/Noon pt. This UFC Fight Night promises to be an action filled card. Cheap Nike Air Max 1 . Live from Chicago, the action is set to get under at 4:30 ET. Benson Henderson is in his first contest back in the octagon since he lost his lightweight title to Anthony Pettis. That means hell be doing everything to secure his number-one ranking.  His opponent, Josh Thomson will be looking to take that spot and move himself into the title picture. The rest of the main event and a few of the prelims are absolute barn burners. Watch for Donald Cerrone, and Jeremy Stephens to really put it on the line. They need convincing wins to get back into the UFCs spotlight. Tune in Saturday morning at 11:30 ct/12:30 et to TSN Radio 1290 as myself (Jordan Cieciwa), Big Marv, and Toby "the rookie" take over the air ways to break down the fights and all the latest MMA news.  Benson Henderson (19-3-0) vs. Josh Thomson (20-5-0) Jordan Cieciwa Couldnt have asked for a better fight than this on a Saturday night. You have an elusive and athletic, number-one ranked competitor with the drive to get his belt back facing a very talented and well-rounded fighter out of the American Kickboxing Academy. You know both fighters will be prepared. Its also a five round affair which provides lots of time for these two fighters to settle the matter. However, with the skill level of these athletes, I see this going the distance. In my mind that favors the former champ. Look for Henderson to outscore Josh Thompson with takedowns and a lot more movement and single scoring blows. Henderson via unanimous decision Big Marv I think this will be a great fight.  "The Punk" looked great against Diaz, but I think Bendo is stronger and faster.  I see another grinded out decision win for the former champ. Henderson via unanimous decision Toby This is probably the hardest pick of the night. Both fighters are well-rounded and have great conditioning. Thomson looked outstanding against Diaz and was the first person in the UFC to stop him via TKO.  Henderson is looking to get another shot at Pettis as soon as possible and a win over Thomson will most likely get him there.  I expect Thomson to keep it to the outside and try to get the better of the striking but I believe Henderson is the better wrestler and will grind this one out if hes not doing what he wants on the feet. Henderson wins by decision. Gabriel Gonzaga (16-7-0) vs. Stipe Miocic (10-1-0) JC  What can you say about Gabriel Gonzaga? We all remember the kick heard round the world. His flash knock out of Mirko "Cro Cop" was absolutely epic and had people knowing his name immediately. He has followed that up with some very impressive first round knockouts, unfortunately, also with a few inopportune ones where he himself got KOd. Stipe Miocic has been turning heads as well. He is very heavy handed, and other than a loss in a solid fight with Stefan Struve, his heavy hand gets raised at the end of fights. This is a battle of two heavyweight strikers and that usually means knockout of the night. I for one cant wait to see the results from this one and this is my pick for the potential fight of the night. Both athletes are hungry, they both know how to put on a show and they both have the talent to make this memorable. I expect this will end with Gonzaga staggering Miocic and securing a submission. Gabriel Gonzaga via second round submission.  BM I have to give it to Gonzaga, he has really come back.  After his loss to Travis Browne, I thought he was washed up.   I also thought Stipe Miocic didnt stand a chance against Roy Nelson at UFC 161, but I sat there cage side and saw him use Nelson as his personal punching bag for three rounds.  Hard to pick, but I say the younger Miocic takes this one Stipe Miocic via TKO round two Toby  This has the potential of fight of the night! Gabriel Gonzaga has been around a while and has seen some outstanding competition and had been on a tear lately. Stipe Miocic looked especially great against Roy Nelson and I believe his hands will be the difference in this fight. Its hard to pick against someone with a submission game like Gonzaga brings to the table and he also "Cro Copped" "Cro Cop". Stipe Miocic via TKO  Donald Cerrone (21-6-0) vs. Adriano Martins (25-6-0) JC Donald Cerrone has seen all the top contenders in the UFC and in the WEC. He knows his way around the cage and nerves wont be a problem at all. The UFC is his home. The only question is which Cowboy comes to fight? He has lackluster nights and then he has nights full of spring in his step and some of the best kickboxing in MMA. Adriano Martins has the exact opposite problem. He looks sharp, but he has yet to get into the cage with a real MMA star. He gets to change that with Cerrone. Martins wont get the easy first round KO with Cerrone and its difficult to submit the Cowboy. If Donald Cerrone wants to keep getting those phone calls from the UFC, he needs to string a few wins together. That means we potentially get to see a fired up and focused Donald Cerrone. If thats the case, its going to be a lot of leg kicks and elbows for Adriano Martins.  I expect we will get to see Cerrones traditional kickboxing come through in this one. Hell stay a safe distance away from Martins hands, and win a much deserved decision. Donald Cerrone via unanimous decision BM  When theres no big fight stipulations or titles on the line, Cerrone is MONEY.  Look for Cowboy to end this quick.  Late round one TKO Cerrone via TKO round 1 Toby This IS my pick for Fight of the Night, this is a real test for Adriano Martins and Im sure hes going to be working his leg kicks for this one. Ill say it now, Donald Cerrone is one of my favorite fighters and I love his aggressive stand up style and his ability to pick most people apart. This is the fight Im expecting some fireworks and I believe Adriano is ready for the challenge but I think "Cowboy" has been in there with too many top level guys to get beat this time. Donald Cerrone …tough call… Ill say TKO The rest of the night is just as impressive as the three main fights. Prelim Fights: JC: Elkins, Pettis, Jabouin, Meza, Viana, Rio, Rhodes, Harris Nike Air Max 1 2019 . According to Yahoo! With their coach gone, they finally played offence the way he would have wanted. Amare Stoudemire made all seven shots in the first half, Anthony passed and shot well, and the Knicks shook off the surprising departure of their coach to rout the Portland Trail Blazers 121-79 on Wednesday night, snapping a six-game losing streak. The Winnipeg Goldeyes have assured themselves a winning record on this behemoth 10-game road trip to start the season. A clutch seventh inning pushed the Goldeyes (6-3) past the Lincoln Saltdogs (4-5) 7-4 Saturday night at Haymarket Park in Lincoln before 4,222 spectators. After the two sides exchanged a pair of runs in the second inning, Lincoln grabbed a 4-2 lead with two runs in the bottom of the fourth. The Goldeyes quickly struck back in the top of the fifth inning to tie the game once again, as left fielder Ray Sadler scored on a ground out by third baseman Josh Mazzola and right fielder Donnie Webb belted the next pitch out of the park for his first home run of the season. For the second straight night, Winnipeg found the winning run in the seventh inning. With Sadler on third and centre fielder Reggie Abercrombie on second, Mazzola singled to score both base runners. "Youre just trying to get the ball in play and find a hole out there," Goldeyes pitching coach Jamie Vermilyea said on the Jewel 101 post-game game show of Mazzolas at-bat. "He battled up there and fouled off a couple tough pitches before he got one he could handle. It was a big AB."Mazzola then stole second – his league-leading siixth stolen base of the season – and scored on a single by Webb. Cheap Nike Air Max Free Shipping. "Anytime you can take advantage of that and steal that extra base is big," Vermilyea said. "Thats part of our thing this year. Were going to be aggressive on the base paths." After starter Nick Hernandez went five innings for Winnipeg, the Goldeyes bullpen was spectacular in the second half of the game. Southpaw Gabe Aguilar struck out five Saltdogs in 2 2/3 innings of middle relief work. Fellow lefty Brendan Lafferty got the final out of the eighth inning and Chris Kissock pitched the ninth for his second consecutive save in as many nights. The pitching staff combined for a season-high 12 strikeouts. Aguilar picked up the win, while Lincoln reliever Jake Meiers, who was on the hook for the three runs in the seventh inning, suffered the loss. Four Goldeyes had multi-hit nights, while Mazzola had three RBI.  The two sides will meet in the series finale Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. Lefty Chris Salamida will look for his first win of the season against Nick Green, who will make his first start of the season for Lincoln. SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. Belgium Jerseys . -- Barry Bonds certainly thinks hes worthy of election to the Hall of Fame. "Without a doubt," baseballs home run king said Monday at the San Francisco Giants spring training camp, where he will serve as a hitting instructor for a week. The 49-year-old Bonds spent his last 15 big league seasons with San Francisco, finishing in 2007 with 762 homers. But his final years were clouded by suspicions of performance-enhancing drug use, and the seven-time NL MVP was convicted of one obstruction count in April 2011 by a jury that found an answer he gave was criminally evasive during 2003 testimony before a grand jury investigating the distribution of PEDs. And he didnt even come close to election to the Hall in his first two turns on the ballot. Advice for the writers who have not voted for him: "You guys are all adults. I have no advice for you." One topic he wouldnt discuss: Alex Rodriguez, who is serving a season-long drug suspension. Bonds said he respects Rodriguez and will talk to him individually, "not in a press conference." Meeting with about three dozen media for about 30 minutes on a patio overlooking the left field area at Scottsdale Stadium, Bonds wanted to put the controversial past behind him. "It feels really good to be back," Bonds said. "It feels good to give back to the game that I love. Hopefully, Ill be a part of this longer. ... Im enjoying it. "I am more nervous at this than I was playing, because it was only my mind and me. Hopefully I can bring good value to the ballclub. Well see how it works out," he added. "I dont even know if Im good at it." Looking about 30 pounds lighter than his playing weight of 230 and considerably more affable, Bonds wore an orange-and-black Giants cap, a black windbreaker and baseball pants, ready for the first day of work in a seven-day stay in camp. He appeared relaxed, laughing and joking more in a few minutes than he did during the years when he ruled the teams clubhouse from his corner reclining chair. "Im just a different character. I was a different character playing," he said. "Now Ive had time to slow down, do other things. I needed that guy to play, its who I was at the time. Im the same person, just a different character. ... Teammates used to say, you dont play when youre nice. It worked. Whatever it was, it worked." After meeting with the media, Bonds watched Posey and others intently in the batting cage. "The timing was right. Thats why its happening now," manager Bruce Bochy said. "Its good for Barry to see how its going to work for him. To me, he is one of the greatest minds in baseball." Would he perhaps like to manage some day? "I want to try and get through these seven days first," he said with a laugh. Michy Batshuayi Jersey .9 million deal Thursday. NEW YORK -- They have gone from disappointment to dominant, a team that was booed on its home floor and now rarely loses there. And pretty soon, the Brooklyn Nets will also be a playoff team. Pierce scored 22 points after another sensational start, and the Nets moved to the brink of a post-season spot by beating the Minnesota Timberwolves 114-99 on Sunday for their franchise record-tying 13th straight home victory. "First part of the season was rough on us with injuries and everything that we went through, and it feels good," guard Deron Williams said. "It feels good to be able to turn it around." Pierce scored 16 in the first quarter, two nights after putting up 17 in the period, and didnt miss a shot in either. He couldnt keep it going after asking for a rest so he would stay fresh to defend Kevin Love, but the Nets had to plenty more to pull away. Joe Johnson added 19 points for the Nets, who were 10-21 when they reached the new year, but will clinch a playoff spot with either another win or a loss by the New York Knicks. A post-season berth was viewed as a sure thing when the Nets acquired Pierce and Kevin Garnett while assembling a team that would cost more than $180 million, but they struggled early and then lost leading scorer Brook Lopez to a season-ending foot injury. "I think a lot of teams with bad character, bad leadership in the locker room wouldve laid down a long time ago. Probably by Christmas wouldve been making summer plans," Pierce said. "But not this group." Andray Blatche had 14 points and three players finished with 13 for the Nets. Brooklyn equaled the longest home winning streak in the NBA this season and the best in the history of the franchise, done twice in 2002 when the Nets were still based in New Jersey. They have won 20 of their last 22 games at Barclays Center. Corey Brewer and Kevin Martin each scored 21 for the Timberwolves, who had won two in row and were coming off the highest-scoring game in the NBA this season, when they scored a franchise-record 143 points in a rout of tthe Lakers on Friday. Mousa Dembele Jersey. But they had only 17 in the fourth quarter of this one as Brooklyn surged to the finish. Love finished with just 14 points and nine rebounds for the Wolves, shooting 5-of-14 and saying afterward he felt "exhausted" and was perhaps getting sick. "I couldnt find any energy in the second half and that was really it," Love said. The Nets led by one early in the fourth quarter, but got three 3-pointers from Alan Anderson in a 13-4 spurt that gave them a 98-88 lead with 6:51 remaining, and Pierce later added a 3 to make it a 13-point cushion. Brooklyn finished off a 12-4 March, matching the team record for victories in the month set in 2006 and hopes to have Kevin Garnett and Andrei Kirilenko back from injuries by the end of the upcoming week. Pierce, who scored 17 points in the first quarter Friday, had 16 points on 6-of-6 shooting by the time he checked out after 10 minutes to open this one. He is 10 for 10 from the field, 8 or 8 on 3-pointers, in 17 minutes over the last two first quarters, and this is the first time in his career that hes scored at least 16 in consecutive first quarters. The Nets led 30-27 after one and opened a 49-36 lead on Mirza Teletovics 3-pointer with 6:11 remaining in the second quarter. Minnesota whittled that down to 59-54 by the break. The Wolves charged out of the locker room with a 15-4 run to open a 69-63 lead a little under 4 minutes into the third quarter. But the Nets, who had rarely trailed in the second half during their streak, quickly regrouped behind Johnson and Shaun Livingston to move back in front and take an 85-82 lead to the fourth. NOTES: The Nets said before the game that Garnett, who has missed 16 straight games with back spasms, is hoping to play next weekend or during their trip to Florida on April 8 and 9. HOOFDDORP, Netherlands - The international football players union is pressing FIFA to pass tougher rules against clubs which are late paying wages. Purple Air Jordan 12 Retro .FIFPros proposal urges clubs to be sanctioned and players freed to terminate contracts after 30 days of non-payment.Currently, clubs can be 90 days late paying without consequences, the 65,000-member union said Thursday. This is more than fair as the players are currently abused by a flawed system, FIFPro secretary general Theo van Seggelen said in a statement. Respect for contracts and treating professional footballers like any other employee in a normal workplace environment is not too much to ask, is it?Van Seggelen is a member of FIFAs players status committee which is scheduled to study the proposal in March. Rule changes are approved later by FIFAs executive committee. The issue of late wage payments has affected the integrity of competitions, and unpaid players are regarded as more vulnerable to approaches by match fixers.Last season, Racing Santander players refused to play a Spanish Cup quarterfinal match after having gone unpaid for four months.Their second-leg match against Real Sociedad in January was abandoned after one minute when Racing players lined up at the halfway line.A FIFPro survey of players with eastern European clubs to learn more about match-fixing found 41 per cent who responded said clubs did not pay on time.In recent FIFA judicial cases, players who argued that unpaid pages led them to leave a club and sign elsewhere were judged to have terminated their contracts illegally. The Bruins are still adjusting to playing without the big defenceman — and winning while doing it.It took barely 2 1/2 minutes for the Bruins to turn a 2-1 deficit into a 4-2 lead. ENGLEWOOD, Colo. Justin Bethel Falcons Jersey . -- Peyton Manning flew to New York this spring to pay his respects to Derek Jeter and David Letterman, two much-admired superstars in the middle of their long goodbyes. "Im sad to see some of these guys retiring," the Broncos quarterback said at the time. "Im not far behind." Yet retirement really isnt on Mannings radar as he prepares for his 17th NFL season, his third in Denver. Coming off the best two-year stretch of his career, Manning is keeping tacklers, tedium and time itself at bay. At 38, Manning said hell keep playing as long as hes still productive and loves the game. That passion and productivity were on full display last season when he won his fifth MVP award and set single-season records by passing for 55 touchdowns and more than 5,500 yards. There are no signs of his affection or efficiency ebbing anytime soon, either. "You see it in how he prepares every day," centre Manny Ramirez said. "Were here in the off-season and hes still putting the same amount of focus as he does in-season, preparing, trying to get better every day, trying to pick apart the defences." "I still enjoy the work and preparation," said Manning, who lost wide receiver Eric Decker to the Jets but gained coveted free agent Emmanuel Sanders and prized rookie Cody Latimer. That turnover actually helps keep Manning young at heart, coach John Fox suggested. "Theres so much change in the NFL nowadays that I think that keeps the juices flowing, whether thats getting Emmanuel Sanders up to speed or last year, Wes Welker. Anytime you put a new cog in there, thats an adjustment," Fox said. "I think he takes pride in that and he attacks that. He seems to me to be having a great time." Manning would like to play out his contract, which runs through 2016. Yet, while hes not pondering retirement, he said in an interview with The Associated Press that he has certainly contemplated what it will be like. "Sometimes I sort of kick back and I pause and I think what sorts of things would I miss the most if I wasnt playing," Manning said. The answer hits him like one of those teeth-rattling sacks by Robert Mathis. "Being in the huddle," Manning said. "Thats what I missed most when I was injured, Ill say that. I mean, theres no other type of unity or bond that I think any other job can provide. I know there are meetings, there are video conferences. But that huddle, because of where it takes place: its often on the road, in the middle of the field, in front of 80,000 people, its unique." Its what excites him even at an age when many quarterbacks have retired to the broadcast booth or are hitting the links instead of the weights. "When you dont play football anymore, you can broadcast, you can coach, you can be in management, whatever, but you are not allowed to go into the huddle anymore," Manning said. "That huddle is just for players. You can go into the locker room after the game and you can speak to the team, but I think any retired player would probably tell you they miss the huddle." The way Manning has guided the Broncos to a 28-8 record over the last two years belies how far he had fallen when he was forced to sit out the 2011 season in Indianapolis and even had to look in a mirror to relearn his release point after a series of neck surgeries weakened his throwing arm to the point he could hardly grip, much less throw, a football. Mannings reboot has turned into a blessing. "Yeah, although I have to say, some guys might need a year off to whatever, relight to fire, whatever it may be. I didnt need a year off to remind me of how much I love football," Manning said. "But when you have it, it sure does reinforce what you kind of always thought, that I do love it." Working with play-caller Adam Gase and new teammates has revitalized Manning. "Sometimes it, the monotonous routine, the boredom, that pushes guys out, not the physical part of it," Manning said. "And I have been stimulated the past two years working with Adam and working with different teammates, so it does sort of keep the bounce in you, I think." Manning doesnt view himself so much as a 17-year NFL veteran but as Denvers third-year quarterback. "I really feel because its a new team, post-injury, its kind of a new me. Thats how I have to look at it," Manning said. "Im a different player from before I was injured. Im not saying better, worse, whatever, just a different player. And so what I can compare myself most accurately to is my first season here in Denver and kind of how I am physically and how I am with my teammates and with Adam and so its helped to have now two years to build off that baseline." He no longer feels like a visitor in his own locker room. "And I like going into that huddle," Manning said. "I like the guys that I get to work with. I like lifting weights, working with Wes Welker, doing a set of bench press with Jacob Tamme, I like working with the guys that I play with and I still like learning. I like being challenged by Adam every day to be a better football player. There are a lot of things that I still enjoy about it. "And I look forward to driving over here every day. I think as soon as you go, Golly, I do not want to go over there today, thats when youve got to get out." Deadrin Senat Falcons Jersey . -- A deflected pass that landed in DeSean Jacksons hands. Not long ago Bob, you mentioned that the Vancouver Canucks are willing to deal anybody but the Sedin twins. Whats the latest on that front? Bob McKenzie: The team that Im most interested to see what, if anything, they do is the Vancouver Canucks. Now I can tell you this, there are multiple teams in the National Hockey League that are looking at veteran defenceman Alex Edler and veteran forward Ryan Kesler and are trying to find out if the Canucks are possibly serious about moving these guys and if so, what the price is going to be. Now keep in mind a couple of things - nobody in Vancouver leaves if they dont want to leave as there are lots of no-move, no-trade clauses, and we also want to see what happens with Kesler with the MRI coming back on the finger from the shot that he blocked at the Olympics. In New York talks have clearly broken down between Ryan Callahan and the Rangers with Callahan set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. Is it now a foregone conclusion that hes going to move? Darren Dreger: Im told that its 99 per cent guaranteed that Ryan Callahan will get traded by the New York Rangers. There are many teams involved in this process. We know that the St. Louis Blues have been the most consistent in showing interest, and theres some connection with the Tampa Bay Lightning and other teams as well. But theres an ongoing back-and-forth with defenceman Dan Girardi as well. Many predicted that this deal would be done by now to keep Girardi with the Rangers. If hes not signed by March 5, the trade deadline, theres also a 99 per cent chance that he gets traded. McKenzie: And youre right Darren, there have been no talks over the Olympic break between Callahan and the Rangers. There has been ongoing dialogue with Girardi - there seems to be a little bit of a difference in term, maybe a little less than $500,000 a year difference in money, but theyre working and trying to get that done. In Toronto, Dave Bolland is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. How are negotiations going there, and what are the chances hes still a Maple Leaf on March 6? Dreger: Well this is going to be a real difficult negotiation for the Toronto Maple Leafs, very similar to the one they had with Tyler Bozak creeping up to the trade deadliine last year. Deadrin Senat Jersey. Of course trading Bolland is an option, its believed he wants as much as $5 million, maybe better than $5 million per year to stay with the Leafs to avoid unrestricted free agency. So the Leafs have a tough decision to make, since they would rather pay him in the $4 million range than the $5 million range. So do they hold him, and use him as their own rental and take their chances on trying to sign him? They need to make a hockey deal and not a trade that would include draft picks coming back the other way. Then what do the Leafs need? Dreger: The Leafs need a top-four defenceman and theyre also in the market for a top-nine forward. Again, Dave Nonis is less interested in a rental player and more interested in adding pieces that are going to help this team in the playoffs. Whats the latest on Ryan Millers status with the Buffalo Sabres? McKenzie: There have been reports out there that the Sabres are trying to sign Miller. My clear understanding is that the priority and the preference is still to try and get a trade for netminder Ryan Miller and virtually any other player on the roster. General manager Tim Murray is open for business, and there isnt a single untouchable on this team, maybe with the exception of Zemgus Girgensons. The New York Islanders are also conducting an auction for forward Thomas Vanek and defenceman Andrew MacDonald. As many as six teams have enquired on Vanek, and there was at least one serious offer that was rejected by the Islanders. At least seven teams have enquired on McDonald but there have been no firm offers at this point. Dreger: Some are suggesting that maybe there is a three-way deal involving the St. Louis Blues and perhaps the Minnesota Wild where Jaroslav Halak might be included. Maybe Jake Allen, I know the Buffalo Sabres would want to get him as part of a package. Again, thats the time of year it is and thats the type of rumour mongering that goes on creeping up to the deadline. Were hearing that Mike Cammalleri has been offered a deal by the Calgary Flames. What are the chances that he remains a Flame after the deadline? McKenzie: I think its much more likely that he gets traded than remains a Flame, but there is a remote possibility that Cammalleri could get a deal done with the Flames. But at this point the smart money suggests that he would be - along with those guys like Matt Moulson, Thomas Vanek and others - as a goal-scoring winger who could be had as a rental. SAN FRANCISCO -- For five years, Vernon Davis has practiced leaping, over-the-shoulder catches in practice like the one he pulled off for a 28-yard gain on the way to a spectacular, career day against the Arizona Cardinals. Nike Tanjun Clearance . The difference is this time he caught the ball from quarterback Colin Kaepernick instead of assistant athletic trainer Nathan Breske. No matter. Davis delivered with touchdown catches of 61 and 35 yards and finished with a career-best 180 yards receiving to lead the San Francisco 49ers to their third straight victory with a 32-20 win Sunday. "Every day that Im in practice I work on that play," Davis said. "You want to work on it because its difficult. You really have to keep your eyes on the ball, you have to focus and just wait for it to come down." Even coach Jim Harbaugh was unsure Davis had it. Davis wound up with eight catches in his first 100-yard game of the year and second straight with a touchdown reception of at least 60 yards. He had a 64-yarder in a 34-3 rout of the Texans. Davis has scored touchdowns in three straight games after going without a TD in the teams two losses. "Those were great plays he made," Harbaugh said. Here are five things to know from San Franciscos win against Arizona: LOSING CAMPBELL: Arizonas much-improved defence lost end Calais Campbell to an unspecified injury in a scary scene. After landing awkwardly on a tackle of Frank Gore, Campbell was down for several minutes with teammates and 49ers players gathered around before being carted off with 4:56 left in the game. Coach Bruce Arians said it was a precautionary move. "He left the field with movement and the feeling was coming back," Arians said. "He had numbness. It was precautionary." Cardinals spokesman Mark Dalton said on Twitter that Campbell "was taken to a Bay Area hospital to undergo precautionary MRI and CT scans. Initial results have been positive and he will continue to be evaluated." Campbell was released from the hospital late Sunday, returned to Arizona and was at the team meetings Monday morning. PALMERS PROBLEMS: Palmer sure has been a mixed bag so far in his first season as Arizonas quarterback. On Sunday, he went 21 for 45 for 298 yards and two touchdowns with a pair of interceptions and a sack in the end zone for a 49ers safety. It didnt help his cause beginning drives at his own 12, 3, 1 and 7 in the first half. And Arizona has been among the worst in the NFL for red-zone production. "Youve got to score more points than we did," he said. SECONDARY GAMBLES: A week after getting three interceptions in a rout of the Houston Texans, San Franciscos aggressive secondary was at it again. Rookie Eric Reid had his team-leading third interception in the first quarter and ran it back 53 yards to set up Phil Dawsons first field goal of the day. Tramaine Brock, who had two picks the previous week against Matt Schaub and earned NFC Defensive Player of the Week honours, gambled later as the 49ers gave up Larry Fitzgeralds 75-yard touchdown. Then, Carlos Rogers made his first interception of the season. But Rogers got beat on Brittan Goldens 53-yard reception midway through the second quarter that set up Andre Ellingtons 15-yard touchdown run. Still, all eight of San Franciscos takeaways the past two games have resulted in points. "Coach Vic (Fangio) has been preaching that since training camp, getting back to the basics of being physical and getting turnovers," Reid said. "As many turnovers as we can get, thats what we like to do." FITZGERALDS OUTING: Fitzgerald had a season-best 117 yards receiving on six catches and scored his 12th career touchdown against the 49ers to match Andre Rison for most all-time against San Francisco. But a costly fumble with his team driving in the third quarter erased any joy from his big day. "I am not going to sleep at all. I let my team down in that situation," Fitzgerald said. "I wish I could take it back. We were driving, running the football, really the momentum in our favour and I got a little careless with the football. To be in a game that close, you cant have those kinds of mistakes." QUIET DAY FOR BOLDIN: Anquan Boldin dropped the ball on the first two passes thrown his way, though one was low and slightly off target from Kaepernick on San Franciscos first play. Boldin couldnt get a hold of the ball for what would have been a 20-yard gain. He wound up with just three catches for 28 yards while facing his former team. After getting 13 catches in his 49ers debut against Green Bay, Boldin had 13 combined over the next four games, then the three Sunday. The Cardinals chose him in the second round of the 2003 draft out of Florida State, and he still holds several franchise records. Boldin did make career catch No. 800 Sunday. But he wasnt celebrating one bit. "Nothing," Boldin said when asked about the milestone. "Weve got to win. Thats all that matters." TORONTO -- Randy Carlyle called Nazem Kadris performance Thursday night the best hes seen in a long time. Kadri had three assists extending his point streak to four games as the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Florida Panthers 6-3. Nikolai Kulemin one-timed a Kadri feed at the four-minute mark of the third period for the game-winner. The assist was Kadris 100th career N.H.L. point. "Its a great achievement for myself, but hopefully theres a lot more to come," said Kadri, who has two goals and five assists on his current point steak. "You got to think to yourself when the points are coming easy, its just not all about that, you got to make sure youre good in your D zone, bearing down on face-offs and just allow the coaching staff to put you on the ice in those crucial situations." With the Leafs trailing 2-0 in the first, Kadri set up Cody Franson at 16:49 to get Torontos comeback rolling. Then with the Leafs leading 4-2 in the third, the 23-year-old London, Ont. native set up Joffrey Lupul at 6:22, on a power play, for the insurance marker. "Nazy was a difference maker tonight," said Carlyle. "Thats probably the best game hes played in a long time and at both ends of the rink obviously with the points and distributing the puck, that was making some big league plays." Toronto (29-21-6) also got goals from Mason Raymond, James van Riemsdyk and Tyler Bozak as they extended their win streak on home ice to five games. Florida (21-26-7) got first period goals from Nick Bjugstad and Sean Bergenheim. Dmitry Kulikov had the other Panthers goal. "When a team comes out after theyve lost the period, theyre probably getting some bad words from the coach," said Kulikov. "We knew they were going to come out strong in the second period and we didnt handle it." Scott Clemmensen made 26 saves for his fifth loss of the season. Jonathan Bernier made 35 saves in the win. Toronto won five in a row on home ice from Oct. 22 to Nov. 19. The Leafs have just two regulation losses in their past 11 gaames. Nike Tanjun For Sale. . Florida scored twice on their first seven shots to open a 2-0 lead in the first period. Bjugstad opened the scoring 1:39 into the first, beating Bernier with a backhand blocker side for his 12th goal of the season. Bergenheim finished off a 2-on-1 feed from Brad Boyes at 13:50 to give the Panthers a two-goal lead. The assist was the 250th of Boyes career. "We were kind of stunned," said Carlyle. "The first shot on goal was in our net. It set us back a little bit and we werent really moving our feet. We seemed to find a way to get it going." It was all Toronto after that as the Leafs scored five unanswered goals. After Franson cut Floridas lead in the first, the Leafs scored twice in the first minute of the second period to take a 3-2 lead. Raymond scored off the rush, with a wrist shot, glove-side on Clemmensen 27 seconds into the period for his 14th of the season. Van Riemsdyk tipped a Phil Kessel shot past Clemmensen at 57 seconds of the second period, on a power play. With the goal, van Riemsdyk surpassed his previous single-season goals total of 21 set during the 2010-11 season while he was a member of the Philadelphia Flyers. Bozak finished off a 2-on-1 feed from Kessel at 18:37 of the third. "A few weeks ago, it felt like the sky was falling in Toronto," said Kadri of the four-game losing streak. "We understood that it was nothing to panic about, we just rallied around each other. " Added Franson: "Were moving in the right direction and I dont know if you can call it a swagger, but our play is getting better and at the end of the day thats all youre looking to do is progressively progress." Toronto concludes its three-game home stand Saturday against the Ottawa Senators. MINNEAPOLIS - Hours before Phoenix completed its biggest comeback of the season, coach Jeff Hornacek said the Suns needed to approach each remaining game as their last if they wanted to make the playoffs. Saucony Shoes Outlet Online . The Suns played more desperately than Minnesota on Sunday and inched closer to the Western Conferences final playoff spot. They also delivered a serious blow to the Timberwolves fading post-season hopes. Markieff Morris scored 25 points as the Suns overcame a 22-point deficit and a near triple-double by Kevin Love to beat the Wolves 127-120 and move within a half game of eighth-place Memphis. "Weve had a few of those, havent we?" Hornacek said. "Im always proud of the way they come back at the end of games, they never give up. We were playing horribly for a half, maybe partway into the third quarter and somehow they ended up pulling that game out." While Hornacek lamented his teams tendencies to start slow, the Suns were fortunate the Wolves — who fell six games behind Phoenix — have a habit of starting strong before fading. Now the Suns are hoping the Wolves psyche can recover in time to put up big points again when they play at Memphis on Monday. Phoenix, meanwhile, continues its road trip in Atlanta. "If we want to be contenders and be in the playoffs, we got to start showing it by winning these kind of games," P.J. Tucker said. "We came out and played in the second half." Phoenixs bench outscored Minnesotas 61-20, and the Suns shot a season-high 57 per cent from the floor to overcome Loves 36 points and 14 rebounds. The Wolves All-Star forward fell an assist short of a triple double and committed a crucial turnover in the final minute. With the game tied at 118, Love lost the ball in the paint and Eric Bledsoe made a fast-break layup. Gerald Green, Bledsoe and Tucker each hit a pair of free throws in the closing seconds. "If we start out the game like that wed probably be up 20," Bledsoe said. The Suns tied a season high by allowing 41 points in the first quarter and trailed 103-93 heading in the final period, but they outscored the Wolves 34-17 in the fourth. Minnesota, meanwhile, blew its largest lead of the season. "That was our playoffs right there, and we lost. So this one hurts a lot more than the others," a visibly frustrated Love said. The Wolves scored a season-high 73 first-half points — they needed every one of them because the Suns shot 61 per cent and still found themselves trailing by 11 at halftime. Minnesota built its early lead thanks to a 14-0 first-quarter run fueled by a balanced offence. Every Wolves player who checked in scored. But Morris shot Phoenix back into the game with 15 points in the second quarter on 6 for 8 shooting. "We shouldve won that game, plain and simple," Love said. Phoenix has won five of its last six. Bledsoe had 21 points for the Suns, Tucker had 19 and Goran Dragic 18. The Suns won for only the fifth time when trailing after three quarters. "Im so tired of doing that," Tucker said. "We get 20-25 down and its like, lets play. Its unreal." Notes: Kevin Martin had 25 points for the Wolves. . The officials hit Phoenix with four technical fouls, including one on assistant coach Mike Longabardi. . Montero (1-3) returned from the minors and allowed three hits over 5 1-3 innings in his seventh big league start. Juan Lagares had a sacrifice fly for the Mets, who have won seven of eight. New York finished a three-game sweep of last-place Colorado, winning the final two by identical scores behind Montero and fellow rookie Jacob deGrom. Montero did not give up a hit until a fifth-inning double by Rockies starter Tyler Matzek. The right-hander struck out seven and walked two, throwing 106 pitches in his first major league start since Aug. 17. Mets rookie Dilson Herrera worked a two-out walk against Matzek (5-10) in the second. Young followed with a drive to right-centre that just glanced off the glove of centre fielder Drew Stubbs, scoring Herrera. The triple was Youngs fourth of the season and his first extra-base hit — and RBI — since Aug. 24. The Rockies threatened in the sixth after a leadoff double by Stubbs and a single by Justin Morneau put runners at second and third. Montero struck out Nolan Arenado on a high fastball, the last batter he faced. Dario Alvarez retired Chris Dickerson on a dribbler in front of the plate, and Carlos Torres induced a popup to shortstop from Michael McKenry. After a run of six successive wins in all competitions, Juventus failed to hit the heights on Friday in a match that saw both sides struggle to create chances. Fiorentinas Juan Cuadrado was lively and he threatened the Juve net with a shot from the edge of the penalty area that forced goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon to make a diving stop. The NHLPA says the Calgary Flames cannot mandate its players wear protective foot and ankle equipment commonly known as "shotblockers. Blaine Gabbert Jersey ." Flames general manager Jay Feaster instructed his players get fitted for the guards after Calgary captain Mark Giordano suffered a broken ankle and veteran forward Lee Stempniak broke his foot after being hit by pucks last month. Flames players have informed the Players Association they were strongly encouraged by Flames management to wear the shotblockers, but were told the equipment wasnt mandatory.  However, Feaster says this is a mandatory team policy which may create a problem as such a policy could be viewed as a CBA violation. (CBA 30.3 Amendments -- The NHL and its Clubs shall not, during the term of this Agreement or any extension thereof, amend or modify the provisions (or portions thereof) of the League Rules or any of the Leagues Playing Rules in existence on the date of this Agreement that affect any terms or conditions of employment of any Player, without the prior written consent of the NHLPA which shall not be unreasonably withheld. The NHL shall furnish proposed amendments to and/or modifications of League Rules that affect any terms or conditions of employment of any Player upon the NHLPAs written request.) "No team can unilaterally make a piece of equipment mandatory," Mathieu Schneider, Special Assistant to NHLPA Executive Director Don Fehr, told the Dreger Report. Equipment discussions and proposed changes are expected to funnel through the newly-formed equipment sub-committee before moving on to the joint competition committee and, ultimately, to the board for final approval. All Flames players are complying with managements policy and are currently wearing some form of additional foot protection. The NHLPA intends on reaching out to the NHL to discuss its concerns with Calgarys approach. While very sensitive to why the Flames are doing what they are doing, Schneider worries about "knee-jerk" reactions by NHL clubs and the potential for unintended consequence, such as another injury if teams are allowed to armor their players without going through the appropriate procedural steps. Schneider points toward the ongoing work being done between the league and PA on potential changes to shoulder pads as an example of how thorough the process of full-scale equipment changes has to be. Years ago, players opted for a much larger shoulder pad for added protection. Now, the focus is on developing a smaller and less damaging shoulder pad, in hindsight, correcting an issue that was created by good intentions and in the spirit of safety. Will Compton Jersey . LONDON - Saido Berahino was rewarded for his prolific form for West Bromwich Albion by earning a first call-up by England on Thursday, while winger Theo Walcott is back despite playing only 10 minutes for Arsenal after a 10-month injury absence. Niklas Sule Jersey .There were also recalls for midfielders Ross Barkley, Stewart Downing and Michael Carrick ahead of Englands European Championship qualifier at home to Slovenia on Nov. 15 and a friendly against neighbour Scotland in Glasgow three days later.Captain Wayne Rooney was included in a 26-man squad and is set to make his 100th appearance for England against Slovenia. The Burundi-born Berahino is the top-scoring English player in the Premier League with seven goals in 10 matches, and his goals have also helped Englands under-21 team into next summers European Championship.England manager Roy Hodgson said he only hadnt called up Berahino earlier because of his importance to the under-21s.Theres no reason to pass over his credentials yet again, Hodgson said. Im sure Saido will come wanting to play, but he faces stiff competition and he understands that. Hes not just there for the learning process.Walcott only returned to action last weekend from damaged cruciate knee ligaments after careful rehabilitation at Arsenal. Hodgson sees Walcott as a key member of his attack but may not select him in the upcoming games. He is continuing with a fitness program that we will have to make certain that we do during the time he is with us, Hodgson said. We have given him and his club the guarantee that we will do that. (Arsenal manager) Arsene (Wenger) is happy for us to take him.Daniel Sturridge — Rooneys first-choice partner up front — is still missing with a calf injury and Hodgson never entertained the idea of selecting the striker after a call to Liverpool enquiring about Sturridges fitness wasnt returned by manager Brendan Rodgers.Ive left a message for Brendan — the message was that its pretty obvious that (Sturridge) is not fit, Hodgson said, and Brendans not rung back to counter that he actually is.Liverpool right back Glen Johnson was overlooked, perhaps signalling the end of his international career with Hodgson preferring youngsters Calum Chambers and Nathaniel Clyne.England is top of Group E in qualifying for Euro 2016 after opening with three straight wins. The club was unable to retain hitting coach Kevin Seitzer, who is bound for Atlanta. Seitzer replaces Greg Walker, who was assisted by Scott Fletcher this season as the Braves finished 79-83. NEW YORK -- The revolving door of suspensions will spin again Thursday in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference final. Rangers defenceman John Moore will start a two-game suspension for an illegal check to the head of Montreal forward Dale Weise in Game 5 Tuesday. Canadiens agitator Brandon Prust returns from his two-game ban for breaking Derek Stepans jaw in Game 3. Daniel Carcillo, meanwhile, will meet commissioner Gary Bettman on Friday to appeal his 10-game suspension for jostling a linesman in the aftermath of the Prust hit. The Moore ban was the latest shoe to drop in a drama-filled Eastern final, which the Rangers lead three games to two despite losing 7-4 Tuesday. The New York defenceman was given a major penalty and ejected from the game at Montreals Bell Centre when, at 10:41 of the third period, he nailed Weise with a blindside open-ice hit that was almost identical to Prusts unpenalized hit on Stepan. Weises helmet was knocked off and he was wobbly when he got up, with teammate P.K. Subban grabbing him in a bear hug for support. He left for treatment but returned to the bench late in the period. There was no immediate word on Weises condition. Asked Wednesday how his player was, Montreal coach Michel Therrien told reporters after an optional practice: "I didnt see him this morning." But in its video explaining its ruling, the NHL department of player safety said Weise had "suffered an injury a result of the hit." It did not elaborate. The video notes that, unlike the Stepan check, the Moore hit was not late. But it also says Moore drove upwards when he hit Weise, making the forwards head the primary point of contact. The league said that Weise made no sudden movements prior to the hit, so the onus was on Moore to avoid contact with Weises head. Prior to the NHLs ruling, Rangers coach Alain Vigneault had argued that any extra discipline against Moore for the hit was unnecessary. "It doesnt meet the league standard as far as a late hit," Vignneault told reporters at a Wednesday morning availability in Montreal. David Alaba Jersey. "It was a hit that Johnny caught him a little high in the chest, (the) player didnt see it coming. "It probably warrants the penalty that was given on the ice. Other than that, I dont see what else it could warrant, but Ive been surprised before." Moore plays on New Yorks third defensive pairing with Kevin Klein while Stepan centres Rick Nash and Chris Kreider in one of the Rangers top lines. Prust plays on the Habs fourth line while Weise was elevated to the third line during the playoffs. Vigneault said the Moore and Prust cases were different. "Well, the player didnt see him coming, obviously, but the guy (Weise) was admiring his pass a little bit at the same time," he said. "Unfortunately, it was a hit and because of the force of the hit, the head seemed to snap back a little bit. But as far as what I know about league standards and from what I heard from the Prust hit where the dynamics of the hit changed because Stepan was hurt, I dont see that at this time right now." Stepan underwent surgery to repair his jaw but the Rangers centre returned to action Tuesday and scored two goals while wearing a chin guard. Montreal forward Daniel Briere, at a late-afternoon availability at the teams Manhattan hotel, did see the plays as similar. "I think its fair," he said of the Moore ban. "Brandon paid the price for it and obviously if you talk to us were probably thinking (it should be) more. You talk to the Rangers, they were thinking less, obviously. Thats just the way it is. I guess its kind of a middle ground. "I think the biggest thing is seeing that Dale is OK. Thats what matters the most for us." Added Canadiens captain Brian Gionta: "Its kind of what I would have thought would have happened. Theyre very similar plays and I guess the precedent was set on Prusts hit. So its the NHLs decision. It looks very similar." CHICAGO -- Jose Abreu says he didnt expect this much success, especially in cold weather. Malcolm Butler Titans Jersey . Yet he set another rookie record on Sunday. Abreu drove in four runs and set a major league rookie record for RBIs through the end of April and the Chicago White Sox beat the Tampa Bay Rays 9-2 on Sunday. Abreu, who had a two-run home run in the sixth and a two-run single in the seventh, has 31 RBIs to lead the majors. Albert Pujols had the previous rookie RBI mark of 27 in 2001. Abreus homer was his major league-leading 10th and extended his own record for home runs by a rookie through April. "I go to the field to play baseball, help the team," Abreu said through a translator. "I really dont go looking for records, but theyre definitely welcome. Thats not something that I go looking for, but its a nice thing." Another White Sox rookie had a memorable day. In his major league debut, Scott Carroll (1-0) gave up two runs, one earned, in 7 1-3 innings after he was called up from Triple-A Charlotte to fill in for injured ace Chris Sale. Carroll, 29, received a standing ovation when he exited the game, and he planned to celebrate with more than 30 friends and family members. "I couldnt have asked for a better showing," Carroll said. "I know I was capable of it, but its just awesome to finally get the opportunity and showcase my skills here at this level." Rays starter David Price (3-2) allowed eight runs, six earned, in six innings. Trailing 1-0, the White Sox scored five runs in the sixth and four runs in the seventh. The Rays committed four errors in the sixth. Gordon Beckham reached on an error and scored from second when Price threw away the ball after fielding Marcus Semiens bunt single. Adam Eaton scored when right fielder Wil Myers fumbled the ball after Prices throwing error. Abreu then hit a two-run home run for a 4-1 lead. He set the rookie record for homers by the end of April on Friday with his ninth -- a walk-off grand slam against the Rays. "Hes pretty strong," Rays manager Joe Maddon said. "Ive been talking about how impressive hes been this series. He is good. Hes gonna get better." Dayan Viciedo doubled and scored on shortstop Yunel Escobars throwing error for a 5-1 lead. "Its very unusual. Its uncharacteristic of us to make those errors, but were human, and I still feel like I have eight Gold Glovers out there whenever Im out there on the mound," Price said. "We have those days, and it stinks." Semien doubled to extend the White Sox lead to 6-1 in the seventh. Abreu hit a two-run single and Ramirez added an RBI single for a 9-1 lead. The Rays went ahead 1-0 in the fifth when David DeJesus singled and scored on right fielder Viciedos error. The Rays scored their second run in the eighth on Evan Longorias single. Before his call up, Carroll was 27-38 with a 3.95 ERA in 138 games during eight minor league seasons. He underwent Tommy John surgery in 2012 and bounced back with a 3-1 record and 1.57 ERA in four Triple-A starts this season. "As soon as I found out I was going against Price, I thought to myself, What an opportunity, " Carroll said. "Theres no better chance to showcase my skills and get to go against one of the best guys, a Cy Young winner. I just happened to be better than him today. Its a fun experience, and Im just so happy to do it." NOTES: Sale (forearm strain) played catch before Sundays game, but when hell return from the 15-day DL is uncertain. Mako Vunipola was promoted from the reserves, with Matt Mullan called up to the bench on Thursday. "It is important that Joe is with his partner at this exciting time," England coach Stuart Lancaster said.KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- White Sox first baseman Paul Konerko simply scoffed when he was asked to summarize in a paragraph Monday nights wild 7-6 victory over the Kansas City Royals. "I dont know if a paragraph is enough," he said. Well, first came the five-run lead that the Royals established in the first inning. Then a frantic comeback by Chicago, capped by Konerkos two-run homer. And finally, clutch pitching by relievers Scott Downs and Jake Petricka to save the series-opening win. All in a nice, tidy paragraph. "We got behind big early, like a lot of games here in the past," Konerko said. "But guys started taking pride in their at-bats and we started to chip away." Alexei Ramirez homered and drove in four runs, and Dayan Viciedo went deep before Konerko -- starting in place of injured slugger Jose Abreu -- hit his go-ahead homer in the fifth. Zach Putnam (2-0) worked two shutout innings in relief of Scott Carroll, and Ronald Belisario also threw two scoreless innings before Downs and Petricka bailed out Matt Lindstrom. Lindstrom, normally the White Sox closer, gave up a leadoff single to Nori Aoki in the ninth, then appeared to step awkwardly fielding a sacrifice bunt by Alcides Escobar that resulted in an error. Downs entered and struck out Eric Hosmer, and then Petricka picked off pinch-runner Jarrod Dyson at second base before getting Billy Butler on a groundout for his first save. "The bullpen was great. They just continue to shine," said White Sox manager Robin Ventura, who was still awaiting word after the game on the severity of Lindstroms right ankle injury. "It didnt look good," he said. Jason Vargas (4-2) squandered the rare five-run lead the Royals pop-gun offence gave him. He allowed all seven White Sox runs in 4 2-3 innings, his shortest outing of the season. "I dont get too mad about a lot of things, but given a five-run lead in the first inning and coughing it up halfway through the fifth inning -- thats not good enough to get it done," he said. Carroll, who grew up just north of Kauffman Stadium iin Liberty, had a rude homecoming for the White Sox. Will Compton Jersey. He allowed the first five batters he faced to reach base, failed to get an out on his first 30 pitches and trailed 5-0 by the second inning. "I was making good pitches," he said, "and they were just finding holes." The White Sox got three runs back in the third, when Ramirez hit a 2-2 pitch for his sixth homer, matching his total from last year. They got another back in the fourth, when Viciedo sent a 1-2 pitch over the wall to make it 5-4. Kansas City scraped out a run in the bottom half on Hosmers RBI single, but the White Sox completed their comeback during a messy fifth inning that ended with Vargas on the bench. It began with a single by Adam Eaton and another by Gordon Beckham, who was thrown out trying to reach second. Ramirez made it 6-5 with a groundout, but apparently thought he was safe as he was tagged sliding past the bag. Replays showed he missed the base by about 2 feet. It turned out to be a moot point. Adam Dunn walked moments later, and Konerko followed with Chicagos third homer in three innings, a two-run shot that gave the White Sox the lead. That was it for Vargas, who had been on a roll coming into the game. He won his previous two starts and held high-powered Colorado to two runs in a 3-2 victory his last time out. "Its just a tough one," Butler said. "We had that big first and then we tacked on a run and Konerko hits a home run to put them ahead. You feel like at that point, thats not going to win the game, that there is going to be more scoring. Give their bullpen credit, they came in and did a great job." NOTES: Abreu had an MRI that revealed no structural damage. Ventura characterized it as "good news." ... Royals LHP Bruce Chen (bulging disk) and White Sox LHP Chris Sale (left flexor muscle strain) plan to throw bullpen sessions Tuesday. ... Eddie Jones transforms England, one-dimensional Wales, and France a complete mess: Dewi Morris reviews the 2016 Six Nations. Cheap Air Max 97 Orange China ... EnglandFive played and five won - you cannot ask for more than that, can you? The 2016 Six Nations may not have been a classic and I think all the teams were suffering from a bit of a World Cup hangover. But that does not take away from Englands Grand Slam efforts. Will Greenwood discusses Englands first Six Nations Grand Slam in 13 years With a few tweaks here and there, Eddie Jones has turned Englands fortunes around. They have a very competitive scrum and their lineout was superb. We saw Maro Itoje come to the fore and had glimpses of the future with Elliot Daly, too. George Kruis was superb as well and I think Dylan Hartley was an excellent captain.England head to Australia in the summer with a spring in their step. It wont be easy but with a few more tweaks here and there, England could well surprise the Wallabies.Wales Wales must play more attacking rugby in New Zealand, says Dewi Wales really need to adapt their game plan. I know they have been talking a lot about it but it just has not happened for them.I think it is a real shame that they have played in such a one-dimensional way given the quality of backs they have. My old nemesis Robert Jones says that something has to change because they are wasting so much talent out in the backs. Wales are off to New Zealand and if they go there with their Six Nations attitude they will be stopped and squashed. Dewi Morris Whether that is changing Rhys Priestland for Dan Biggar to play a more attacking game rather than a kicking game remains to be seen.Wales are off to New Zealand and if they go there with their Six Nations attitude they will be stopped and squashed. They are going to have to play some more exciting rugby.Wales have plenty of capabilities and they have the firepower but they just cant seem to bring it all together.Ireland CJ Stander has made an impressive start to his international career Ireland showed against Scotland what a good structure they have and what a good attacking side they are. They have had a few blips but Joe Schmidt is a very, very good coach and I still think he can get a lot more out of Ireland. We have seen some excellent players come to the fore like Jack McGrath and CJ Stander, who I thought was superb this tournament. The more they play the better they will grow.Ireland have a long injury list including Peter OMahony, Sean OBrien and Iain Henderson. Once they return there will be the depth and potential to grow this team.Scotland Stuart Hogg is world class, says Dewi They have individual talent but there is a real lack of collective togetherness. They seem to be able to win more than their fair share of the ball but cant seem to make it count.Scotland showed some really great aspects to their game - they have a tremendous back row and I thought John Hardie really stuck his hand up.The Gray brothers were outstanding too and Stuart Hogg is one of those players who you just love to watch with ball in hand. There is not that many world class players in the northern hemisphere but Hogg is one of them. Six Nations review Englands Grand Slam success only the start, says Stuart Barnes Scotland also have two very good props in WP Nel and Alasdair Dickinson. They are off to Japan in the summer and I think that is a good tour for them to build some confidence. This is a squad that needs to get more time under their belt.Vern Cotter is an excellent coach and the more time he spends with them the better they will get.France Guy Noves has endured a difficult start to his reign as France head coach There is so much talent in France but they are in pieces at the moment. They played more rugby in the first half against England than they did all tournament.I love the Top 14 but it is killing French rugby. The clubs have more power than the federation and the players are getting flogged. You cant start a season in mid-August and finish it in mid-June and try to get your international players ready for Test matches.Asking if Guy Noves is the right or wrong man for the job is immaterial because no matter who takes over, the problem is the same - their hands are tied. A number of France internationals will be unavailable for their June tour of Argentina due to club commitments France need the clubs to give their international players time off and time together so that they can properly prepare for the Six Nations and tours. This seasons Top 14 final is on June 24 - France will already be on tour in Argentina with the first Test being played on June 18 and the second on June 25. Its a complete mess!Everyone loves to stick the knife into Rob Andrew but he was the main instigator in getting the RFU and the Premiership clubs to sit down and settle the dispute between club and country. England now have more time than ever with their players and you can see the result of that.Italy Sergio Parisse was again outstanding for Italy during a dire Six Nations campaign If Conor OShea is taking over then he has a heck of a job to do. I think if one person can do it then it is him. This campaign has been really difficult for them and they have suffered from a lot of injuries which has certainly hindered them. There has been a lot of talk about Italy deserving their place in the Six Nations, especially with the likes of Georgia and Romania improving on a yearly basis and desperate for a regular shot at the big boys.I think Italy need an injection of new coaching ideas and some new talent - they certainly do have some wonderful players but they lack depth.Sergio Parisse once again has been wonderful for them but how long can he keep going? I think the next few years will be crucial for their development.Do you agree with Dewi? Have your say by giving us your comments below if viewing on skysports.com. Votto, from Toronto, earlier missed 23 games while on the DL with a strained muscle above his left knee. Its not expected to heal completely until the off-season. Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork. Sammie Coates Jersey .com) - As expected, the Los Angeles Dodgers extended free agent shortstop Hanley Ramirez a qualifying offer prior to Mondays deadline. The defending National League West champions also announced that reliever Brian Wilson has elected to exercise the player option on his contract and remain with the Dodgers for the 2015 season. Tendering Ramirez the one-year, $15.3 million offer enables the Dodgers to receive draft-pick compensation should the three-time All-Star sign with another team. As the likely top free agent shortstop available on this offseasons market, Ramirez is almost certain to decline the offer in hopes of securing a multi- year deal. The 30-year-old is a career .300 hitter and batted .345 with 20 home runs in just 86 games for Los Angeles in 2013. Ramirezs production slipped some this past season, though he still hit a respectable .283 with 13 homers, 71 RBI and 14 stolen bases over 128 games. Wilson, who saved 36 games or more in four straight seasons for the rival San Francisco Giants from 2008-11, was re-signed by the Dodgers to a one-year contract that included the 2015 option prior to last season. The veteran right-hander will earn $9.5 million next year. The 32-year-old is coming off a disappointing 2014 campaign in which Wilson posted a 4.66 ERA in 61 appearances. Houston Texans Jerseys .ca. The appointment of Boullier continues the behind-the-scenes restructuring at McLaren, who recently brought back former team principal Ron Dennis as its new chief executive.DENVER -- Gordon Hayward and Trey Burke found a rhythm the Denver Nuggets backcourt could not match. Hayward scored a season-high 30 points to go with a career-high 13 rebounds, Derrick Favours had 19 points and the Utah Jazz rallied after blowing a big third-quarter lead to beat the Nuggets 103-93 Friday night. Point guard Trey Burke had 10 points and 10 assists for his second double-double in a week. Wilson Chandler and Jordan Hamilton had 17 apiece for the Nuggets, whose starting backcourt of Ty Lawson and Randy Foye was outscored 40-0. "Ty Lawson just came back off injury so you give him the benefit," Utah coach Ty Corbin said. "But I like the way our guys played." Brian Shaw couldnt say the same for his starters. A week after giving up 39 first-quarter points to the Boston Celtics, Shaws team allowed the Jazz to put up 33 in the first 12 minutes. "The first quarter was the beginning of the end for us. They were hitting everything," Denvers coach said. "Our defence was terrible. We scored 28 ourselves, which is plenty enough but continuing to give up those big quarters is not going to get it done for us." The poor starts have Shaw considering making a change in his starting lineup. "I dont know if I have to shake it up or what I have to do with that starting lineup, the chemistry for whatever reason is not there," he said. "Its putting too much pressure on our bench night after night." The Nuggets struggled from the foul line, going 14 for 24, while the Jazz hit their first 13 free throws in going 19 of 20 from the line. Denver fell to 6-3 on its home court after losing just three times at Pepsi Center all of last year. The Jazz, meanwhile, are happy to steal one on the road. After starting the year 1-14 Utah is 5-5 in its last 10 games. "We have all of our guys," Corbin said. "We have different options." They needed them against Denver after the Jazz scored just 10 points in an 11-minute stretch spanning the third and fourth quarters. The Nuggets, who trailed by 16 early in the third, finished the quarter on a 26-8 run to go ahead by two. The leadd grew to four before Utah responded. Justin Reid Texans Jersey. "I remember Rich kind of bringing everyone together and saying, Theyre a good team, they made theyre run, now its our turn to make a run, Hayward said of Jefferson. "We slowed down and kind of made one of our own." Denver cut it to 96-93 on two free throws by Andre Miller, but a layup and free throw gave Utah a 99-93 lead and the Jazz closed it out from there. "They came out and hit us early," Miller said. "Four or five 3-pointers to start the game. It was just an uphill battle the rest of the game." Utahs nine-point halftime lead grew to 16 but Denver rallied. Hamilton hit a 3-pointer and a fadeaway jumper to give the Nuggets a 70-69 lead with 2:43 left in the third. It was their first lead since 4-3. Hamilton hit a breakaway layup and a free throw at the end of the period to give Denver a 75-73 lead heading into the fourth. "We kept our poise, we stayed together," Jazz forward Marvin Williams said. The Jazz used strong shooting to take the early lead. Utah hit its first four 3-pointers and made six of seven in the first period. The Jazz cooled off in the second quarter, but used a strong finish to the half to lead 53-44 at the break. Hayward had 14 points at the intermission and Williams 11. Chandler had 13 points at the break for the Nuggets, who struggled from 3-point range (3 for 11) and from the free-throw line (5 for 11) in the first half. SANTA CLARA, Calif. Supply Air Jordan 1 Retro . -- Clint Irwin made seven saves in the Colorado Rapids fourth shutout in five matches, a 0-0 draw with the San Jose Earthquakes on Wednesday night. Irwin lowered his goals-against average to 0.83, making four critical stops to preserve the tie for the Rapids (4-2-3) in their first game since losing leading scorer Vicente Sanchez to a sprained knee. Irwin got just enough of a touch on Chris Wondolowskis 88th-minute shot to push it into the far post, where it caromed back out, costing the Earthquakes (1-3-4) a chance for their second straight home victory. The teams also tied 0-0 in Colorado on April 19. In the 62nd minute, Irwin made a reaction stop on Atiba Harris powerful 14-yard attempt. Irwin also turned aside a couple of solid chances for San Jose late in the first half, palming away Wondolowskis header in the 30th minute and knocking down a free kick from Khari Stephenson 6 minutes later. Stephenson, making his first start of the season for San Jose, sent a 25-yard effort just over the crossbar in the 25th minute. San Jose lost right back Andreas Gorlitz, an MLS newcomer, to a right knee injury just before halftime. Black Air Jordan 1 Retro . In fact, the World Championships broadened the scope of contenders for the top honor in thoroughbred racing. Where the main horses being mentioned before the Breeders Cup were Shared Belief, California Chrome, Close Hatches and Untapable the names of Main Sequence, Bayern and Goldencents are now part of the discussion. Bayern showed what he can really do on a big day, said trainer Bob Baffert about his 3-year-old Breeders Cup Classic winner. He put it together. Shared Belief didnt break. He broke a stutter-step slow (the chart says he bobbled) and Bayern was gone. I thought the nine (Toast of New York) swooped down on Shared Belief. The third-place finish, a neck behind Bayern, by California Chrome in the Classic may actually have helped the Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner in Horse of the Year voting. The colt had two poor races coming into Saturdays start, but showed tremendous heart in his effort against a stellar field. It was a great race for him, and a game race to get beat by a neck, said trainer Art Sherman. Main Sequence, trained by Graham Motion, won the Breeders Cup Turf to post a perfect mark in his four starts this year. Motion, however, acknowledges there may be a prejudice against turf runners when it comes to Horse of the Year balloting. He has won four Group Is. No other horse has done what hes done, Motion said. At the end of the day, Im not going to lose sleep over it. He certainly deserves consideration. Im sure therell be a lot of split opinions because of the dirt and tuurf. Air Jordan 1 Retro 2019. I get that. Its America, we race on dirt. Goldencents completed his racing career with a second straight victory in the Breeders Cup Dirt Mile on Friday. The 4-year-old colt, currently trained by Leandro Mora, had a light 2014 season, but deserves thoughtful consideration for Horse of the Year. Hopefully he will do as well in his next career as he did on the track. Hes going to make a lot of champions, Mora said. The horse that was most adversely affected by the Classic outcome was 5-2 favorite and previously undefeated 3-year-old gelding Shared Belief. Co-owned and trained by Jerry Hollendorfer, Shared Belief was roughed up at the start of the race by Bayern and finished fourth in the 14-horse field. He came out OK, said Hollendorfer of Shared Belief. Shared Belief, also partly owned by Jim Rome, would have secured Horse of the Year with a victory or at least a well run second in the 1 1/4-mile Classic. The gelding, 2013 champion 2-year-old male, should get respect for getting fourth after the horrible start he got. All the 3-year-olds ran good, Hollendorfer assistant Dan Ward said of the unprecedented 1-2-3-4-5-6 finish by the group in the race. The two fillies in the discussion, Close Hatches and Untapable, met for the first time in Fridays Distaff which Untapable won and Close Hatches finished last. Untapable performed excellently and ran a huge race, said the 3-year-olds trainer Steve Asmussen. Although Untapable lost to Bayern in the Haskell, she won all her starts against fillies and mares and locked up the Eclipse Award as champion 3-year-old filly. In my opinion, Untapable was the Horse of the Year for 2014. Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork. Terrell Owens Jersey .com) - The Seattle Mariners have finalized a seven- year contract with third baseman Kyle Seager. The deal runs through the 2021 season and includes a club option for 2022. Financial terms were not disclosed, but reports last week indicated it to be worth $100 million. I am humbled and grateful for the opportunity that the Seattle Mariners have given me, said Seager in a statement. This is an amazing honor for me and my family to remain with such a great organization for the foreseeable future. Seager led the Mariners with 25 home runs and 96 runs batted in last season. He batted .268 in 159 games and was named to the All-Star team for the first time while also earning his first Gold Glove. As one of our homegrown players it is nice to know that he will remain with us for at least seven more seasons, said Mariners general manager Jack Zduriencik. Kyle has taken a step forward each season since joining the organization in 2009, and has turned into one of the premier third baseman in the game. He has exhibited class both on and off the field and is someone we are all extremely proud of. We are very pleased to announce this joint commitment by the Seattle Mariners and Kyle Seager as we strive toward our goal of winning a world championship. Seager was selected in the third round of the 2009 draft and made his debut with the Mariners on July 7, 2011. He has appeared in 520 of the clubs last 540 games since August 2011. The 27-year-old native of North Carolina has 67 home runs and 251 RBI with a .262 batting average since the start of the 2012 season, his first full year in the big leagues. A marriage made in soccer heaven. The hometown star returning back to his roots to help guide his new team to a level of success he had reached many times. Sure, there were some good moments. The all-star appearances, the first goal at BMO Field when he headed the ball into the net against Dallas, but for Dwayne De Rosario it wasnt enough. This was not how he had imagined it going. On the field, De Rosario was able to forget the issues, play a game he loved in front of fans he adored. Sometimes the result would even go the teams way, but often it wouldnt and after the match, as he made the walk from the dressing room to his car, his mind would be cloudy and full of distractions about how the club was run. "Id definitely sit in my car and shake my head," he admitted in a sitdown with TSN.ca. "I know it was my hometown but I never wanted them to take that for granted and use that as leverage against me. I wasnt willing to stand for anything, its who I am, I am very passionate and hungry for success." As he started his third season with Toronto FC in 2011, it became very clear the two were heading in different directions. De Rosario had hoped to be loaned to Celtic during the offseason but didnt get his wish and three months later he was packing his bags from Toronto for, what appeared, good. It wasnt an April Fools joke, but on April 1, 2011, De Rosario was dealt to New York Red Bulls for what can now be labeled nothing more than a bag of balls. On a flight later that day, De Rosario thought he would never play for Toronto FC ever again but admitted he hoped to one day return when the direction of the club was different. "I never closed the door and turned my back on that option. How it was presented to me this time was a situation I couldnt refuse, I always wanted to create special moments and have special memories with my hometown, Toronto FC, and I am looking to live those moments I envisioned and hopefully we can create those this season." It is clear the Canadian international spent many hours dreaming of playing for his hometown club before it happened and it is also clear that a lot of those dreams didnt come true the first time around. "I demand success, first and foremost from myself, but from my teammates and from the organization and to have a situation where we now have it demanded from the top is absolutely ideal. Its the right way and I am happy to be a part of that." When Toronto FC kick off the new season in Seattle on Saturday afternoon, much of the attention will, rightfully so, be placed on star signings Jermain Defoe, Michael Bradley and Julio Cesar. The club has completely reinvented itself this winter and the return of De Rosario is almost an after-thought, a small scene in a blockbuster movie. With De Rosario now 35 that is, probably, the right thing for a team who want to contend for the MLS Cup this season, but the 2011 league MVP believes he can still play a major part on and off the pitch. He said: "I am really looking forward to this year. Jermain Defoe is a world class player, a winner, throughout the season it will be great to pick his brain and see how he runs and moves and create that relationship. Gilberto has a very bright future and so far I have enjoyed playing together with him. Anytime you have an opportunity to play alongside players of that calibre it is always fun, the most important thing is developing the understanding. So far its comee along and we are excited to get it started. Mike White Cowboys Jersey. " De Rosario has been in MLS long enough to know that tough times will still come Torontos way this season, even if they are successful. He admits expectations are high but thinks the team is ready to drag themselves through the rough patches because of the personnel general manager Tim Bezbatchenko has assembled. "Thankfully when we look at every position we have strong leaders. Julio Cesar to Steven Caldwell in central defence, Michael Bradley in the midfield and myself, Defoe up top, all strong personalities with experience, its important. All of these guys know its a long season, they understand we havent done anything yet, on paper it looks good but we have to continue to show that on a day-to-day basis and we have to work hard to accomplish something." De Rosarios second stint in Toronto gives the club a player whose best days are clearly behind him but he still thinks his versatility can help head coach Ryan Nelsen in many areas throughout 2014. "I dont have a specific favourite position. I like creating and scoring goals, up top, on the left, attacking mid, all these provide those opportunities for me but it depends on the team and its shape. Sometimes I am on the left and I dont really like it because I dont feel I get as much ball as I would like, sometimes I am in the midfield and you just defend a lot so that can be frustrating but sometimes, even, up top you can not get the balls, so it depends on the situation and the team." Throughout his career, he admits he is constantly learning and developing more and more on the tactical side of the game: "Spatial awareness is a big part of my game, knowing when to leave it and attack it and I have been working with a lot of the forwards here about that as well. You want to continuously move but sometimes you need to stop and let the space develop and attack it at the right moments." De Rosario will be hoping to find some of the space in behind Brad Evans and Osvaldo Alonso against the Sounders on Saturday. (You can read my piece on Toronto FCs strategy against Seattle here)  March 15 has been circled on the calendar for many Toronto FC fans because it is their first game but De Rosario cannot wait for the following week when he will get to pull on the red number 14 shirt in front of the home fans. "Those fans are my family, the relationship with them means everything to me. Every time I step out for training or in a game with that badge it is for them. I do not just represent myself, I represent my direct family and the fans and I take a lot of pride in that. One day I want the youngsters to look at me and say I want to be like him, and because of that, I want to set as good an example as possible." On paper, the words look cliché but you dont have to be around De Rosario for long to know just how much he truly means it and how much he loves his city and his club. Toronto FC have lacked a lot of things in their short history. Above all else they have lacked wins, but in recent years there has been a distinct lack of people caring about this club. Whether the signing of De Rosario the player turns out to be a success only time will tell, but to have a winner talk so passionately about this club is already a positive step before a ball has even been kicked.
